Amen for those hormones…
I have to give a huge thanks post-pregnancy hormones! I felt like freaking superwoman this week. I was working about 4 – 5 hrs a day, cooking and cleaning, breast-feeding every 2 hrs, reading about how to care for a newborn, and playing with my son the rare moments his eyes were open. Manu’s brother’s family stopped by for lunch one day and his parents came for the weekend. Nate the Great is their 5th grandchild!
Getting used to our new normal…

Check out this crib! My Dad made this crib for me when I was born. Not only did he keep it safe all these years but he completely took it apart, rebuilt it for Nathan (original version was about three feet long and one foot wide – guess he was hoping I would be a tall and skinny baby), and sent it to us. This picture doesn’t even do it justice – its an amazing piece of art!!

We decided to give Nate his first bath at home together. As Manu submerged his body into the water the remains of his umbilical cord fell off. Ya, I cried a little!

Manu’s brother Guillaume was so excited to meet Nate!
Guillaume, Leïla, and their three kids stopped by Sallanches on their way home from their ski vacation.
9-day old Nathan got to have lunch with his parents, 2 Grandparents, an Uncle and Aunt, and 3 cousins… lucky little boy!
